Who am I? I am that woman in seat 23D.
I started out young. I have my mother to blame. She and my father used to take me camping and on roadtrips. I started my career working for Trafalgar Tours and after my first international trip to Ireland, I have been hooked. I love other cultures. I love history, architecture, legends and myths. I am a foodie and love to experience new things and make new friends.
So back to my original question. Who am I?
I am that obscenely relaxed person on the plane who has detached herself from the packed sardine like surroundings and has escaped the normal dizzing din that accompanies boarding the tin can most airlines call an airplane. I am she. I have visualized my destination. I have packed appropriately and lightly much to the chagrin to my companions and strangers alike. I have rolled my socks and even my undies. I have a tiny pocket purse that has things like band aides, pepto and advil. I have that spare change of clothes in my carry on bag. I have my passport, boarding pass tucked away in my Rick Steves travel tote down my shirt and my money belt strapped to my waist. I also have my quart size zip log bag loaded with necessities ready and raring to go. I am the epitomy of a travel nerd. I have succumb to my wander lust. I am seated serenely waiting because I know I just started my next travel adventure.
Boarding Pass Please!
